High School Shout Out!

Hey Y'all (Hannah Says and repeats a lot). This is Hannah White, Allison Ronveaux, Madison Powell and Mckenna Reed.

The high school students have been out here for five days now, and we have been having an amazing time! For the first two work days we split up in teams, one half going to the Childrens camp and the other going to a worksite.
Sarah, Hannah, Allison, David, Wesley, Katie and Madison went to the Kids Camp for the first two days. We all split up into grade levels consisting of 14-11, 10-8, 7-5. Although it was extremely tiring, all the kids have such an energy and desire to be there. It was incredibly interesting seeing the differences between The Grove and Faith Bible. They are extremely tough, honest and yet loving in there own way. To almost all of our students the kids have become very near and dear to our hearts (excluding Allison, who wants to become a Kindergarten teacher one day haha... but really).
Amanda, Dave, Chad, Julia, Lexi, Mckenna and Marissa went to a worksite where they helped remodel a trailer for single mother of three, who lost her home with Hurricane Katrina. Along with becoming insulation masters, they have more jokes and nicknames to go around for all of them. Bonding as a team, having a team mascot named Kanye and building a home together couldn't have been more enjoyable, they all say.
On Tuesday night we all went to the local Walmart (also called AwesomeMart, by David Pinder) and took them by storm. I think we bought enough candy to feed small countries. We then had a movie night and massive peanuts game, which Allison and Wesley owned at with 170 points! It was lovely relaxing and enjoying everyones company and eating Sour Pouch Kids. Later that night, Sarah told us that we were switching jobs and going to each others worksites. Although this was a bit of a struggle with some of us who were very much attached to our children and trailer we all had positive attitudes and "were willing to do whatever is required".
Which leads us to Wednesday morning now, where the Children's group headed off to the trailer and the Worksite team headed off to Kids. Arriving at the trailer we had realized just how much effort they had put in and we were all extremely proud of our fellow teammates. Although we stayed there for just 30minutes, we were transfered to a another worksite where we painted a new house for single women with two kids. We had so much fun laughing hysterically and painting each other... BUT finished the house ofcourse too:)
The new Childrens group had a very interesting day. Everyone enjoyed working at a new site and experiencing what the other group had already experienced. Amanda led the entire bible time for the 14-11 girls and guys, which was quite wonderful for her to do. Julia and Mckenna realized just how much love the 7-5 year olds were craving by the constant clinging and adoring children they had on them. Overall the group realized just how different they're society is, but all in the same just how loving they can be.


We are going to be having a lot to do these next few days and are more excited than ever! We will keep you posted and love you all :) Please keep us in you're prayers, especially for health and energy.
