Road Trip

So Saturday was so great! We wanted to go to Florida to the beach so we could get away for a day. So the drive is about three hours and we have to go through Alabama and Mississippi. When we finally get to Florida its so stormy. It was actually really cool, alot of thunder and lightning over the water. So we tried going swimming but when we first got there everyone was out of the water waiting for it to stop raining. All of a sudden a lightning bolt struck like 20 ft away from us! Loudest and scariest noise ever!!! It stopped raining though and we went in the water for a little bit. Then we drove further down to another beach that was very pretty:) It was still raining a little bit so we decide to get back in the car to go eat. When we had pulled over we pulled onto the sand and so when we tried to leave we got stuck! The front end of the car was basically sinking. I couldn't do anything but laugh at our helpless situation. After a while a guy stopped and helped pull us out. Since the weather wasn't what we had planned for we couldn't spend all day at the beach so we decided to hit up Alabama and Mississippi. So we went and saw The Strangers at a theater in Alabama and then had dinner at Cracker Barrel in Mississippi. Very fulfilling day we had :)

Me and Rachel have been sick for the past week. Coughs, sore throats and losing our voices. Saturday I think pushed over the edge and made everything worse. Sunday we had to sleep through church from being so sick. Later in the afternoon we went to a doctor that people at church had recommended and got some antibiotics. We had to miss out on camp today which was hard for both of us cause we don't like feeling left out of whats going on. But it was rest that our bodies really needed. We are feeling a little better and are hoping to return to camp tomorrow. Pray for health! Not just for Rachel and I but for the others too that they will stay healthy.
